Still closed and tannic, the 1995 requires an additional 5-6 years of cellaring. It should keep well through 2020.

Very youthful, with a ripe core of red currant and raspberry fruit and licorice flavor surrounded by creamy tannins. Plenty of smoke, mineral and tobacco notes chiming in, but this still has a ways to go, with plenty of grip still on the finish.--1995 Chateauneuf-du-Pape retrospective. 20,000 cases made.

Just coming into its own, a complex effort with great sophistication. Black rasberry, ripe strawberry, dark cherry and smoked herbs with a clean and well defined body and a subtle richness. Quite a nice wine.

Fresh herbs on the nose. Nice currant flavors with a subtle spice showing. Body was a little light.
