Reviews For This Wine

Stunning red. Unbelievable value from Pomerol. Beautiful aromas of ripe berries, earth and bark. Medium- to full-bodied, with supersilky tannins and a long, long aftertaste. From the owner/winemaker of Chateau L'Eglise Clinet.

Youthful and deep red, the nose slaps you with wave upon wave of fruit, dark plums, blackberry, blueberry, cassis, black cherries... Accented by a bit of funky barnyard that just barely peaks through the fruit. Full-bodied, with high acidity that is only tamed by the amount of fruit. Plenty of tannin also but it's in great balance with everything else. Medium finish.

About This Producer

This is a tiny estate that is often overlooked. The blend typically reflects a blend of 70%-80% Merlot and 20%-30% Cabernet Franc. The average age of the vines (55-65 years old) is one of the factors that make the wines from this chateau so admirable. They start out as juicy, concentrated and lush, and with time, become the personified elegance for which Pomerol has become famous.
