A blend of 39% Cabernet Sauvignon, 31% Merlot, and 30% Cabernet Franc, this dark ruby/purple-colored wine possesses an elegant, graceful bouquet (sweet cherries and kirsch) that has been subtlely influenced by toasty new oak. The medium-bodied, subtle yet rich, red currant/black currant flavors unfold nicely in the mouth. This is an understated, measured, impeccably well-made, claret-styled Cabernet Sauvignon that offers beautiful richness and layers of harmonious flavors. Impressive. Very interesting and complex, anise, old leather, black currant and cedary aromas notes in a medium to full body palate. It takes 10-15 minutes to open from the 16yrs 'bottle encave' and then it shows you its best....complexsity and pure, nice california cabernet flavors along with chocolate and ripe fruit. It a little passed its peak (it shall was like 3-5 yrs ago) but still very good, but hurry drink now :)
