Very good deep ruby-red. Vibrant, slightly floral aroma of black cherry, cranberry, minerals, tobacco, nutmeg and black olive. Thick but bright in the mouth; has a sappy sweetness, but brisk acidity and a firm mineral underpinning give the fruit excellent clarity of flavor. Finishes firmly tannic and very long. Very strong juice.

The two exceptional Profile cuvees should receive more attention from wine consumers. The 1994 Profile (a blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, and 10% Cabernet Franc) is even better than the 1995. It possesses an opaque purple color, and seems to hit every sweet spot on the taster's palate, offering loads of cassis, roasted herbs, toast, and licorice. This multi-layered, rich, concentrated wine also reveals impeccable balance and elegance. There is restraint, power, and concentration - a rare combination in such a big wine.

The core of currant and black cherry is marked by cedary oak and firm tannins, but it opens up to reveal rich, concentrated plum, currant, mineral, sage and oak. A complex, concentrated style.
