Robert Mondavi Winery was founded in 1966 and for decades has produced quality California wines that represent New World innovation on a global scale. The winery is located in Oakville, at the center of Napa Valley. The Robert Mondavi Winery produces wine in four categories: Napa Valley Wines, District Wines, Reserve Wines, and Limited Availability Wines. The Napa Valley wines are made from fruit blended across the region, whereas the District wines reflect the terroir of a particular appellation within the Valley. The Reserve wines are made from selected vineyard fruit that benefits from cellar aging. The Limited Availability Wines are unique varietal expressions (or blends) whose fruit is sourced from venerable vineyards throughout the Napa Valley and Carneros.
