($200) Pale orange-copper color. Musky aromas of spicy red berries, smoke and earth. Very ripe but nicely dry, with excellent precision of flavor. Seems almost accessible at first blush, but in fact still youthfully clenched and not yet expansive. Still, this is a bit more gently styled and less convincing than some recent vintages of this singular rose. (Schieffelin & Somerset, New York, NY)

Issue: Issue 1
Already caressingly beautiful with subtle coffee aromas braided with soft red fruit and stylish berry scents. Deliciously rounded and slender without being ingratiating. Yet another masterpiece of elegance and balance from Richard Geoffroy.

Showing maturity, more like wine, with macerated cherry, berry and citrus flavors on a medium-bodied, accessible structure. The finish clams up a little but echos the berry note.
