Barest hint of secondary aromas are now poking through the thick, rich, red and black fruits. The typical Méo Clos de Vougeot often seems a bit light on release and then puts on weight over time and that is exactly what has occurred with the 93 as it now displays much better density, weight and power than 5 years earlier. There is good length with fine richness though at the moment this is quite serious, almost brooding in its personality. If this continues to add complexity with age, I would expect my score to increase accordingly.

Perhaps not as concentrated as expected from this top winery. Sleek and silky mocha, fruit, vanilla and spice character, medium body, fine tannins and long, crisp finish.
