Medium ruby-violet. Refined, spicy aromas of violet and cherry. Medium body. Clean, moderately intense flavors of sour cherry, minerals and anise; shows decent extract. The tannins are not as dry as in past vintages, while the acidity is still quite evident on the finish. This has the finesse for which the property is noted but ultimately lacks the richness of fruit to put it into the top group.
