The deeper purple-colored 1992 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, which is being released in February, 1997, does not exhibit any of the Alexander Valley's herbaceous side. It offers more of the classic blackcurrant, cedar character. There is plenty of high quality, sexy, smoky oak in the nose to go along with copious quantities of jammy black fruits. Full-bodied, with a creamy texture, and a sweet, expansive, chewy mid-section, this dense, exceptionally rich 1992 will provide gorgeous drinking for 12-15 years.
