Youthful, yet slightly one-dimensional now. Plum, berry and mineral aromas. Full-bodied, with velvety tannins, firm acidity and a medium finish. Still seems a bit closed.

I bought this bottle after tasting a more recent vintage and wanted to understand the history of this wine. bottle neck height was good and the wine seemed to be well stored.Very closed nose... smelt of old, tired fruits, mint, earth. It opened up slightly as the evening wore on but it didn't eveolve. The colour was red-brick and the brown tinges reflected its age. On the palate, plums, herbs, earthiness. Tannins and acid were already integrated leaving a smooth, pleasant medium weight wine.
