Though not as rich as the 1989, the 1990 is still a fine effort from this perennial overachiever. It offers deep ruby/purple color, a fine nose of black fruits, herbs, and oak, ripe, generous, tannin-dominated flavors, good concentration, and a moderately long, tough finish.
