Good balance, adequate fruit, finish is slightly off but of good duration. Tannins present and I think it is not past due yet, even though it should be drunk till 2005 only

Medium to dark black cherry red turning just clear at the rim. A very concentrated bouquet of cedar, cherry, and sweet leather. Big and a bit rustic in the mouth but quite a mouthful regardless. I don't think further aging will tame the rusticity.
