Tasted every day for two weeks. Always from a magnum. Unfortunately it seems that Taittinger has some cork problems here: a third of the bottles were corked. The healthy bottles were fantastically lush and Burgundy-like. The aroma contained truffles, autumn leaves, leather, overripe strawberries, cabbage, and red beets. The taste was homogeneously rich and sweet. A shining example of grape character. The regular bottles direct from Taittinger are perfect right now.
Tight, firm and complex, with focused black cherry, smoke and vanilla flavors that are bright and pleasing. Turns elegant and crisp on the finish, inviting you back for another sip.
