The 1986 Bonny's Vineyard is another exotic, rich, distinctive, individualistic wine that should have Cabernet enthusiasts drooling. The huge bouquet of coffee, herbs, oriental spices, black fruits, tobacco, and new oak has about everything one could want in a top Cabernet. In the mouth, it exhibits rich, full-bodied, smooth, spicy flavors, and a long, dazzling finish. While it does not have the size of the 1985 or 1984, it is still a big, chewy, classic expression of Cabernet Sauvignon from one of California's very finest wineries. Drink it over the next 10-12 years.

A delicious treat. Ripe, rich and complex, it's a remarkably well-balanced and flavorful, still tasting young, with tiers of smoke, toasty oak, ripe plum, cherry and berry flavors, and lots of exotic spicy notes on the finish. Drinks well now, but can surely age until 2004 or 2006.--1986 California Cabernet horizontal.
