The 1986 L'Eglise-Clinet remains a young, densely-colored wine with gobs of fruit and intensity. I have always preferred it to such other vintages as 1982, 1983, and 1989. The full-bodied 1986 exhibits excellent concentration and an over-ripe component. It can be drunk now or cellared for another 20-30 years. Last tasted 12/95

Impressive concentration of fruit here, but slightly hard and foursquare. Intense aromas of berries and black olives. Very full-bodied and bruisingly tannic, a bit too tannic and hard to score outstanding.--L'Eglise Clinet vertical. Drink now.
