Healthy, bright crimson. Very fresh and beguiling. Absolutely fresh-scrubbed; no make-up. Lovely delicacy. Complete nose. All bases covered. Is this the 1978? Not an attention grabber but absolutely perfect Dom de Chev. Quite long. This wine perfectly expresses the place. Interesting that, unusually, it didn’t sing out 1982…although this was always an unusual wine, frost-shrunk.

Bright red to the rim, looking youthful with no browning. Nose of berries and earth. Entry of intense berries slight graves earth. Good lift and fine tannins, although not harsh or very noticable. Taste like a young wine with moderate finish, slightly jammy. The product of whole cluster firmentation, has the character of a young wine. fine.
