Good dark red, healthier than the above. Plum, tobacco, chestnut and pungent oak spices on the nose. Rather suave and ripe in the mouth; not especially concentrated but supple and sweet. Drinking quite nicely today. Finishes with rather soft, dusty tannins.

Starts with a burst of ripe, plummy fruit, but then turns quite dry, tannic and leathery, finishing with earthy mineral flavors. A second bottle showed more grapey currant and wild berry, firm and compact.--California Cabernet retrospective. Drink now through 2004. 10,000 cases made.
