Faultless. Truly amazing bottle. 1966 -- bottle from original passive basement storage, then held in Eurocsve for 1 year. Cork was disintegrated. Dark blue color, watery rim but overall presententation was of a 10-15 year old St Emilion. Deep nose, pure, no Brett, no animal, no basement. Just pure. Hard to say much except it has velvet tannins, incredible balance and length beyond expectation. This wine was off the charts among an eclectic group including 1998 Ausone, 1990 Montrose and 1979 Margaux. This wine was not a product of low yields, stainless tanks nor new oak or replanted vineyards. I love Pavie. THIS Pavie. And it is a beautiful St Emilion.
