really nice right out of the bottle, this is a beautiful ruby red beautiful nose of sweet berries, just great, aerated in the mouth the tannins are great nicely integrated and soft, the finish is really nice and almost one minute. a real nice surprise for the reasonable price

Medium garnet in color this wine leaps out of the glass, grabs you by the scruff of the neck and drags your ass into a field in the middle of southern France and then stands back laughing as you stumble blissfully among sage, lavender, rosemary, and a small lake of fresh cassis. In the mouth the wine is equally explosive with an incredibly juicy core of cassis that is riddled with crystalline granitic minerality. Perfectly balanced, with the texture of satin and tannins that don't grip so much as they caress. And just when you think it can't get any better, the floral notes from the Viognier sweep in like valkyries to carry you away into the finish. Please, sir, may I have another? Still young with plenty of tannins. Cherry, cola, a little earth. Yum!

Wow, what a big fat, superripe CDP. Showing much more like an Australian version. Black currant, with a tarry midpalate. Raspberry preserves dominate the bouquet early on, leading to chocolate and kirsch notes on a fat, well-structured wine. Loads of glycerin and soft but big tannins. Hold until 2011

Rich, still good bubbles, but quite mature. Drink up.

A great wine & still youthful; pale gold color; lovely nose; rich but very elegant flavors - the raciness of a Barsac with the richness of a great Sauternes; botrytis is evident; goos acid & well balanced; very long sweet finish. Great with 'Monet's bananas' (baked with butter, lemon & powdered sugar, & served with vanilla ice cream).

has reached its prime; good balance, nice fruit; not particularly complex.

Reminiscent of Kongsgaard in style and quality; a big, creamy wine with enough acidity to balance the sweetness and fruit. Hints of pineapple,vanilla and meyer lemon. a great first effort from the makers of L'Angevin.
