Ann Colgin, a former fine art dealer, began her label in 1992, and it quickly became one of the most sought-after names in Napa. Winemaking duties were originally handled by Helen Turley, who seamlessly gave way to her disciple Mark Aubert in 1999. There is blackberry and cedar on the nose with dark fruit and soft tannins on the palate with a hint of green pepper. The problem is that the wine is surprisingly, past its peak and on the downside. Still a nice drink but drink now.
