Ruby with a vibrant rim. Stewed fruit, currant, dust/silt, and must on the nose. Very youthful with a striking finish of licorice and currant. Tannin and acid are perfectly balanced. This can keep for a while.

Allowed to breath for about thirty minutes without decanting and enjoyed with friends. Very slight bricking starting to occur, but still basically dark red. Currant and cherry on the nose and palate with hints of chocolate and cinnamon. The tannins are very much under control. Long finish. This wine lives up to its reputation and is perfect for drinking now.
