Dark ruby red with a plummy, inky core. Quite a restrained nose; blackcurrant, leather and a hint of tar. Medium bodied with lively acidity and sweet but grippy tannins. Opulent rich fruit on the palate wrapped up in a rich velvety texture. Intense cassis and blackcurrant leaf, graphite and leather develop seamlessly over the length of the palate. Smoky tobacco and a herbalness on the long, long finish.

Coffe dark cherry on the nose and palate. Sweet plum flavors emerge after 4 hours of air. This is not a block buster Latour and does lack finish.
