Chantal's birthday 2009 was excellent but the 1989 taken at the same time and was slightly better

This is getting better and better. My previous notes are unchanged with the exception of additional layers of complexity. This wine remains a stunner.

Light ruby. Huge nose revealing tremendous fruit. Wonderful in every aspect. Very forward and expressive. Beautifully balanced with a long finish. La Conseillante doesn't get any better than the 1990.
