Producer Notes
Classified as a Second Growth Bordeaux estate, Château Cos d'Estournel is without doubt, one of the top producers in the St. Estèphe appellation, producing complex and intense, full-bodied wines. Still a great looking wine. Big full nose with vegetal/light compost, strong cherry and sweet blackcurrant. Spicy with some wood shavings. As expected, the mouth was full with caramel, tobacco, cedar, mint, ripe melon, cherry, jamy blackcurrant and warm spices. This is a full bodied wine with a viscose nature. With this bottle the wine seemed at its peak with not as much life ahead as the last bottle I had. A super experience and I will reserve final judgment on life expectancy until the next bottle!!

Still inky purple with no bricking in color. Cassis and tobacco on the nose and palate. Undertone of blackberry and licorice. Long chewey finish. This was better than when I last tasted a year ago.
