How do I input my wine into VinCellar? Can I import my data from an Excel spreadcheet or cellar management application into VinCellar?
Yes. There are three easy ways to add wine to VinCellar:
- You can use our spreadsheet import tool to quickly and easily add wines and tasting notes to your VinCellar account. Click here for instructions on uploading wine and tasting notes.
- Let Vinfolio do the work for you with our Inventory service. Performed on site, our inventorying service will capture and organize your entire collection and enter it all into VinCellar so it's easy to manage and maintain; or
- You can simply add wines one at a time.
I don't have a current inventory of my cellar. What are my options for creating one?
You have two options―you can do it yourself or ask us do it for you. If you choose to perform a physical inventory yourself, you can simply add the wine in your collection to VinCellar using our easy-to-use wizards and request barcode labels by mail or buy a barcode label printer (see what we recommend). Or, for a fee, Vinfolio can perform an on-site physical inventory―complete with bar coding and label image captures―wherever your cellar is located. This data is then automatically imported into a VinCellar account. Read about our inventorying service.
How do I maintain the accuracy of my inventory as I buy and consume wine?
VinCellar has helpful wizards to make adding or removing wine incredibly simple.
Adding wine:
- On any purchase you make from Vinfolio, your VinCellar account is automatically updated and each bottle already has a Vinfolio-specific barcode label applied.
- And for non-Vinfolio purchases, just send us the purchase invoice via fax (415-946-1359) or email and we'll add the details and an invoice image to your VinCellar account for a small fee. Note: these service fees are waived if you are a Vinfolio priority customer. Barcode labels can also be mailed to you for a small fee. Read more details about our additional VinCellar services at the bottom of the VinCellar page.
Removing wine: Use VinCellar's Consume wizard for removing a bottle from your account and recording the reason for removal. In addition, if you have chosen to use barcodes, you can easily scan the barcode label to automatically capture what has been removed.
Does VinCellar allow me to keep track of prearrivals and wine stored in multiple locations?

Why don't you offer integrated Robert Parker and Wine Spectator reviews?

Individual subscribers of theirs are free to cut and paste their reviews into VinCellar, and Vinfolio makes it easy to navigate to the relevant reviews on their sites from VinCellar.
